So, we moved into our new home yesterday. Already been welcomed by four neighbours (and their dogs), the postman and the local window cleaner. Feels like a real community. Shattered after a week of preparing for and then moving, but all worth it for this view from our new sitting room.

When we told family and friends that we were moving 200 miles to the end of a Cornish lane at our time of life (late 60’s) quite a few said we were mad. Have just spent a couple more days in the area prior to moving we’re even more convinced it is the right thing to do. Don’t give up on your dreams.

Celebration lunch at Andrew Edmunds in Soho today. Proper, old fashioned hospitality, cooking and wines. Loved it, just wish there were more places like it.
