I think we have to be a bit more suspicious of the Turing Test… it’s closer to Schroe’s Cat as a thought experiment revealing our limits.
It should come as no surprise that the 1st thing people want to call AI are programs designed to learn enough Language to convince people they are intelligent

I’m an expert on emerging bat-associated viruses going back about a decade prior to COVID. I’m not usually all that House Proud, but Cornell’s SUNY side (which I transferred into from a state school) is the best of it all.
So many bright, poor folks I knew there did community college for 2 years and finished Ivy at SUNY rates.
