As a Guardian subscriber I get bombarded with requests for financial support from the moral high ground that GMG claims. They use to promote these with the strapline “not for sale”. It appears that now the Observer is very much for sale to a most inappropriate owner. Support the journalists’ strike!

Why are we striking?
Our owners says the sale is “necessary”. But the Observer is a successful part of the Guardian family
The deal has been done in secret and without considering other bids
Our owners have a £1.3bn fund & a duty to protect liberal journalism - why not invest?
