Had an absolutely fantastic meal Sunday night with good friends at Truluck's in Southlake. Was treated my first ever Baked Alaska: a dessert with stacked ice cream and almond cookies insulated by meringue browned en flambe. Beautiful and delicious!

To be cataloged in the files of: Finding Patterns in Randomness - I have this desk toy that has sand and water in it and when you flip it the sand falls to the bottom and makes a pretty pattern. And then sometimes it makes a world map. North America on the left is almost perfect! Apologies to FL 👀

Found this amazing little creature sheltering from the cold at my front door. The white-lined sphynx! It's massive! About the size of a small hummingbird and those markings are so striking. I've never seen one before. Hope she survives!

Clarence the Christmas Gecko was reported missing this morning from his kitchen countertop venue where he had quietly passed the holiday in quiet rumination. Local authorities (me) believe Clarence has returned to his habitat in the potted plant. Thanks for everything, pal 🎅🌲🦎

On Christmas Eve, I was clearing a potted plant from my kitchen table so I could wrap presents. When I watered the plant this little guy scared the Charles Dickens right out of me by leaping out of the plant to the countertop. I have given him water and named him Clarence. 🌲🎅👼
