In this story, I attempt to find out. Also, I talk to several car reviewers who say that Chinese companies are paying some influencers under the table for positive coverage.

The result is a deluge of video content praising the country's auto industry and lamenting the fact that we can't buy these cars here. But what is DCar? And why are they promoting Chinese EVs to US creators so aggressively?

I don't disagree with you! I just feel its more impactful to organize large groups of people around boycotts and political action than shame individual people about their consumer decisions.

I also think its tacky to buy a truck from a Nazi, but I'm not totally sold on directly equating consumer decisions with political affiliation
