#ThingsFoundInBooks, #BooHewerdine & Yvonne's new collaboration is an album written in response to a notice board in Culzean Castle’s secondhand bookshop
Notes, photographs, old receipts, letters, postcards etc had been collected and kept on the board on the wall among the bookshelves

Can I just say that Nigel Garage and his cohorts can all just fuck off?
I can?
Great! Don't mind if I do!

Modern cars have too many gadgets and goodies.
This morning in the Tesco car park I was reversing out of a parking spot and it insisted on showing me a video of a granny getting run over.

I've just plowed through J.K. Rowling's latest Strike novel writing as Robert Galbraith.
The Hallmarked Man entangles several love stories and crimes, as before, I recommend it.
If you haven't read the Strike books, I recommend all of them, acknowledging that Rowling isn't the greatest person.

No clothes in Tesco Carmarthen except a small bargain rail.
I guess they're making room for Christmas.
After all, no-one needs clothes in the Autumn.

Once again, listening to one of my favourite tracks on my favourite album of all time.
The lyrics for the whole album are insanely good.
My favourite lines from this particular track (IYKYK):
"For want of the price
Of tea and a slice
The old man died"

I saw a guy at Purbeck FF with this on his t-shirt and had to restrain myself from running up to him and shouting "WRONG ALBUM!".

Today marks 80 years since the Americans dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. An awful event.
Dad was a Japanese POW for 5 years and was one of few that survived. When he died, I found this picture in his wallet. He'd carried it for decades.
He spoke of Hiroshima in very positive terms.

Word of the day: Biblichor, which refers to the distinctive, musty scent of old books. It's a neologism that combines the Greek words "biblio" (book) and "ichor" (the ethereal fluid that's the blood of gods in Greek myth). This smell arises from the breakdown of cellulose & lignin in paper over time
