Yes, as disappointing as Labour have generally been, I think over 3/4 of us want something that’s not carnage, cruelty & division. I’d expect those who vote for Reform in local elections will soon see their true colours, as vital services / provisions are lost & council taxes rise on their watch.

I know I’m in the minority, understand it’s ground breaking & massively influencial, but never got into this as much as other TH LPs, think it’s patchy - prefer Fear of Music, Speaking in Tongues & 77 personally. Remarkable band though.

Good & balanced analysis as always. As you say, if we are grumbling about a 2-0 loss at old Trafford, that we lost in first 30 mins due to rare tactical misstep…& still could have got back into with rub of green & better finishing, it can’t be that bad! We were losing 4-0 & 5-1 in L1 in Oct 21!

2-0 probably fair - at least we showed fight & could have easily made it much harder. Agree that looked too open & 2nd goal poor. No issue with Penna overturn, although a bit confusing what was given, but Traore yellow harsh, looked to be clipped & should have been a red for them. Ah well, onwards!

Does the performances of Ballard, Makiele & Alderete further strengthen the case for back 3 when playing against strongest teams? Their presence was invaluable in both boxes today - and even with 10, we looked very dangerous from set pieces - inc long throws.

I don’t think he’s been terrible - certainly nowhere near Johnson levels - just disappointing- have to remember the state of the country he inherited & the state of the world - which is constantly becoming more batshit. 5/10 - main flaws are poor comms & lack of narrative - needs to provide hope!
