Elwood had the right idea on how to deal with these people...

At this moment I think another pandemic is the best we can hope for.

Here we see GM criticising Starmer for not prioritising the environment and for purging members who disagree, yet he was perfectly content to consistently criticise a leader who had a raft of green policies and happy to see him kicked out of the party.

Wow. You're quite unnecessarily angry about this. Unfortunately, I'm not lying. GM and the Guardian in general were extremely critical of Corbyn and perfectly happy to see him purged from the party.

I was referring to hounding people out of the party who disagree with Starmer. GM didn't have an issue then.

It was ok when they were doing it to Corbyn, though?

You know, the guy who had a very detailed green strategy...🤷

How refreshing to read a thread on vaccines which isn't full of anti-vax idiots

Also terrible but still not close. Band Aid would have to be up there though

Not even close on either count. Coldplay's 'Christmas Lights' is an awful dirge. 'Mistletoe & Wine' and 'Saviour's Day' are vomit-inducing pap that put me right off my Xmas dinner.

How is that good for anyone?

I agree that society and history has been biased towards them for a long time but suggesting that no one who matches that description can be good is not only nonsense but undermines what you are trying to achieve.

Again, only if they don't deserve it. Wilde's work IS brilliant.

However, let's start recognising women and people of colour who are also brilliant.

Only if they don't deserve it. Wilde definitely does.

As a gay Irishman he had to deal with his share of obstacles and prejudices.

It is an incredibly funny and erudite play. A perfect example of Wilde's work.

Sadly, my school English teacher failed to communicate this and I didn't realise until years later.
