A wide mountain lake lies utterly still, turning the dawn into a perfect mirror. The sky glows in layered hues—soft amber near the horizon, deepening into rose and muted violet as it rises into the early clouds. The surrounding peaks stand in quiet silhouette, their slopes fading from dark forested ridges into distant, bluish folds of shadow. The reflection doubles everything: golden clouds ripple across the surface, stretching toward the foreground where the water becomes clear enough to reveal pale stones beneath. A thin band of mist drifts low across the lake’s center, barely perceptible, like a breath held between night and day.
