A momentous Day 15 of #NWECPAdvent - we've passed the halfway mark in days (yeah there's 28 in the book), 200 miles in distance, and completed the #CumbriaCoast! These are Far Arnside's limestone cliffs in #Arnside and #Silverdale National Landscape, a mere few miles from the #Lancashire border. 1/

Day 14 of #NWECPAdvent takes us from #Greenodd to #GrangeOverSands. We’ve crossed #CartmelFell on the old #CumbriaCoastalWay route as the #KCIIIECP isn’t open yet, to reach #HumphreyHead - a stunning grassed and wooded limestone outcrop with rare wildlife and views to #Morecambe and #Heysham. 1/2

I didn't forget #NWECPAdvent yesterday - I just didn't have the wherewithal, and that's fine. For all the jokes about #RestDays, they're vital, on long distance walks or in life. I didn't walk the stages as written - many were shortened & done in annual leave because weekends + day job was a *lot*.

Day 5 takes us from #Silloth to #Maryport, two lovely west #Cumbrian port towns, via #Allonby, lots of dunes and an accessible cycle path. These beautiful outcrops of red sandstone can be found on the shore before reaching Maryport's harbour. #NWECPAdvent #KingCharlesIIIEnglandCoastPath #KCIIIECP

And a big “FUCKING HELL!!!” to this lovely gentleman too — who might wish to consider, when hurtling down a hill at full speed yelling blue murder, despite a walker in full view, that deaf people are — would you believe it — actually allowed to go for walks too.

It’s #Ingleton #Pantomime weekend! Finally saw it in full last night after catching snippets at rehearsal: congrats to the whole team on a fabulous show 🎉

The community centre hall is filling up with people. Some of the cake decorations in progress - fabric strawberries, pretend piped icing and a large crocheted candle. Two badly cut foam blocks painted white form a terribly made wonky cake. The evil witch Gothel is on stage wearing a purple velvet dress and cool dark shades with a crew of dancing demons behind her (oh yes they are).
