Republicans hate democracy. California puts it to a vote, it passes, republicans think they're cheating. Meanwhile, red states are jerrymandering all over the place, without any input from voters, and will cheat to win, no matter what it takes.

I was quite surprised that they chose to make this into a movie. Very brutal story line. Not sure I can watch it TBH. Loved the book though.
