The Wind’s Twelve Corners turns 50 this year. First published in 1975 by Harper & Row, the book won Best Collection in the 1976 Locus Awards. It includes “The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas,” “Vaster Than Empires and More Slow,” and many other fantastic stories.
Two copies of The Wind's Twelve Quarters by Ursula K. Le Guin sit on a wood table. The left-hand copy is the 2004 Harper Perennial edition, which is mostly white space with the text in black, with a narrow band depicting a hillside with trees in unnaturally blue light. The right-hand copy is the smaller 2022 Olive edition, which is in shades of purple and depicts a pegasus among puffy clouds.

Come! Brian’s book is what we need right now - I know I am biased, but truly, this is an epistemic book. It is not only a book about Trump - it is a book about the logics of contemporary fascism. And about ways of moving elsewhere, and otherwise.
