This is extremely promising news - finally! - for the opioid overdose epidemic. Maybe we’re seeing signs of a real turn-around. It’s not a moment to let the Trump regime take us backward on the crisis. We must fully fund NIH, CDC, and Medicaid - and increase MOUD.

New paper - Medicaid "unwinding" associated with net decrease in buprenorphine prescribing for opioid use disorder (some offset from commercial insurance).

Some state policies mitigated this negative impact.
