And there was never a game of hide-and-seek on my part as to who created the content, it was always visible in the metadata from the beginning and over a decade. Hence the question, is the author page a greater trust signal than the other linked profiles, especially for Google?

In the past there have been so many opinions, especially in relation to the HCU on author pages to build trust. Of course towards the user, but they often come mainly via search engines.

Is the page itself more relevant for trust, than every other link to social-media profiles of the author in the metadata of the page?

I have reported a few things via the "Submit ranking feedback about the March 2024 core update" page, but I still don't have much hope here.

As long as there is no right of review or right of appeal for those affected like me, this unfair treatment compared to a manual action is not really sustainable for operators for long. It would really be desirable if Google could come up with something quickly here.

The situation that there is no manual action, so I can neither fix the problem nor request a review, is draining my energy. I have tried/changed many things on the technical and editorial side since then, but the shadow ban of the algo is currently preventing any improvement in the situation.

Ist halt echt bitter, wenn große Seiten seit Jahren deine Content-Ideen einfach, teilweise auch schlecht, kopieren und die immer noch dafür ranken, während man selber einfach im Nirvana verschwindet.

Wäre halt gut, wenn man auch ohne ein großes Update wieder aus diesem Shadow-Ban rauskommen würde oder einen Hinweis in der SC bekommt. @delicioustoast.com hatte glaube ich mal gesagt, dass Updates auch nur Verzeichnisse abstrafen, wenn die "schlecht" sind. Betrifft aber immer die ganze Domain.
