You know what harms the vulnerable and the poor? Being disproportionately incarcerated, and unable to pay fines or seek effective legal counsel.

Refusing to give someone what they desperately want unless they comply with your wishes is definitely coercion. You don’t have to have a gun to someone’s head to be coercive, especially in a legal sense.

This isn’t a random job that anyone can get. Acting is highly competitive work in the arts, and the jobs that pay good money are held by gatekeepers. If a studio says they won’t hire you, that cuts off your ability to work in your field.
