Preening myself that I recognised a few seconds of Cambridge station on Slow Horses, even though that’s not where the character was supposed to be. Spend 4 years commuting six hours a day and you get very knowledgeable about certain locations. (That’s not a recommendation, mind you. Never again!)

One should always fight the Sunday scaries with reruns of Jeeves & Wooster. Now to find an occasion when I can say ‘that has certainly put the butter on the spinach’ in a posh voice.

It’s 10am and I have taken one class to the astroturf down the street to play football and now my year 8s are goggleboxing their way through High School Musical. This is what happens when half the school is on a ski trip one week after the Christmas holidays. 🙄

I probably should have used the weekend to get through mock exam marking. Instead I have slept, curled up in the conservatory to watch birds in the garden, slept some more, listened to music and audiobooks, crocheted, slept, read excellent books and made a vegetarian shepherd’s pie. No regrets.
