Hi all! I'm Cassie. I work on 'virtuous dialogues'--an approach to philosophy aimed at developing moral & intellectual virtues in order to have better dialogues. I'm the Civil Disagreement & Dialogue Fellow at Wesleyan University & ABD in philosophy at UIowa.

The ICDP is a partnership between 6 institutions: CSU Bakersfield; DePauw University; Harvard; St. Philip’s College; Santa Fe College; & Stanford. Together, they offer a yearlong fellowship for undergrads focused on cultivating moral, civic, & intellectual virtues to engage in meaningful dialogues.

With funding from the Educating Character Initiative, ICDP will grow significantly over the next 3 years. We will develop a shareable database of training materials & pedagogical tools, pilot its dialogue model across campuses, & recruit 30–45 new institutions to form additional dialogue cohorts.

Some incredibly exciting life updates:
This fall I will be joining Harvard University's Ethics Center as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Civil Discourse, & I have also accepted a position in the Philosophy Department at the University of Cincinnati as an Assistant Professor-Educator beginning fall 2026!
