It's been illegal in the UK since 2006 through the Animal Welfare Act, which prohibits mutilations like ear cropping, tail docking, and declawing. This ban applies to the UK as a whole, including England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

It's been illegal here in the UK since 2006. But UK vets were never trained in it, even prior to 2006.
Cat declawing, which involves cutting off a segment of the bone attached to the claw, is barbaric and inhumane. If your sofa is worth more than your cats feet, maybe you shouldn't have a cat.

They do, but the Nazarenos (the catholic brothers) have been rocking the Capirotes (the pointy hoods) since the ~16th century. 🙂
