The AI oligarchs have an awful business model that will never succeed thanks to a little help from China. I can run a DeepSeek Distilled Llama 3 on my MacBook effectively killing the cloud model the oligarchs rely on.

A couple weeks ago I drove Chicago to Tampa and back, and Elon paid for it. I will never do that again, though.

The word “downloading” is misleading. The terms and conditions you are referring to are for the cloud service. They are different if you actually download the model from Hugging Face and the code from GitHub.

True, i didn’t get past the Paywall. I cancelled my subscription when I was on X and just assumed nothing changed.
