Strange Jigsaws by @flebpuzzles.bsky.social is a delightful 2-3 hour puzzle game that will keep you on your toes throughout. There's little more to say without spoilers which is also why I'm keeping it to just the one screenshot.

The Farmer Was Replaced by Timon Herzog is the first "learn to program" game I've really found intriguing. While I'm not one, it does a great job of teaching even absolute beginners Python basics. The complexity ramps up slowly and you can often set your own goals for what you consider good enough.

Quartet by @somethingclassic.bsky.social is a retro JRPG that wears its inspirations on its sleeve. By adding modern gameplay and UX touches, an intriguing narrative, and a unique structure, it really delivers on the nostalgia without overstaying its welcome. Also: Hippo party member.

1000xRESIST by @sunsetvisitor.studio was easily the most memorable game I've played in the last 2 years. It's almost entirely a walking simulator but its themes are incredibly powerful. Generational trauma. Holding on and letting go. Repression and resistance. All wrapped up in clones and aliens.

1000xRESIST by @sunsetvisitor.studio was easily the most memorable game I've played in the last 2 years. It's almost entirely a walking simulator but its themes are incredibly powerful. Generational trauma. Holding on and letting go. Repression and resistance. All wrapped up in clones and aliens.
Don't know if I qualify but if you ever make it to Germany, consider this an invitation for a meal and drinks.

Watched it today. Definitely looked and sounded great.
The vibes feel a lot more like LotR than in a certain TV series. Especially if you read it as "the legend of..." (which is pretty clearly the intent) and not as "this is exactly how it happened".

Most other non-fiction stuff I've read in the past decade is math/science with some levity thrown in. Things like xkcd's Randall Munroe with his "What If" books or Matt Parker's mathematical escapades. Also, Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything" is one I remember fondly.
