I think it is more likely because adoption of new technology depends on masses, and masses really cared about going from something bad looking like CRTs to something ok like 1080p. Now going from something ok to something great depends only on enthusiasts because for most people ok is good enough.

Foremost, the art is wonderfully made. But I also get anxious with the composition. It feels like we are finding solace in the idea of toying with harmless anger or evil, but in reality there is nothing like harmless anger.
