Self declare at a nearby customs office eg at an airport, if you can. That way you pay duties but no courier fees

Self declare. UPS (and all couriers) will add in customs etc duties the. A fee for them to process said duties. If you have a customs office near you (eg at an airport) then you can self declare and at least not pay the courier’s fees
