I got the exact same reply to my report.

I quite agree. It was distressing to hear her, at least they should have muted that sound feed, ideally they shouldn't have shown her during the rescue. F1 has had this policy for years.

The rich are toxic. Wouldn't even feed them to the pigs.

We lived in the Netherlands for 5 years when my kids were little. It's a world apart there. Kids are included and provided for in adult spaces. One of our fave spots was a pub in town centre that had a fake beach, water pumps, play equipment. Parents - beer/coffee/laptop work etc - kids play! Fab.

Sorry for your loss, may she RIP. I adored my grandpa, he died in the mid 80s. Every now and then, I get one of these little jags when I think of him. You put it beautifully. I wish you a peaceful day.

Unbeknown to everyone in the '70s, I'm autistic which gave me hyperlexia. I learned to read for myself at 2-3 years old. I saw my daughter do the same. I was read to a LOT as well. My dislike of audio books is down to my slower auditory processing speed and ADHD distraction!

That's great to hear. Happy matters more to me than anything, for them.

She's doing really well now, thank you. Luckily she got into a day support program, which is only just OK, but it has allowed her to find some tribe locally (prior, most friends were online). Still needs lots of support, but at least she smiles! Hope your lad is doing well, too.

Such a brave woman, I hope she's ok.

I'm sorry. Same here. All her mental health issues caused by school. She turned 16 just as the pandemic started, and she was a different person when she knew school was off the table. So I told her she didn't have to return if she didn't want to. My poor baby, they broke her more than educated.

Watching live here, too, it was nasty. I wish they'd turn the sound down on the shots of her rescue, I can't bear her cries of pain.

Yes.

My brothers were at prep school with Alex Massie. Nobody liked him then, either.

Thanks for the share, very interesting. Throughout my daughter's education teachers would ask me "how do you manage these behaviours at home?" and I'd say I don't get this at home because we respect and accommodate her needs. They never understood they were the problem. Co-regulation is how we live.

I trained as a reporter in the Midlands, and the BEM was one of the "big" regionals most of my peers aspired to working at. Such a shame how rotten everything is now. Though, that said, I quit journalism after 10 years because of the rot, so it also feels inevitable.

Was wondering why I'd never heard of this death... then checked the date and realised that's the week I ran away from home. Had a few other priorities going on than checking the news! RIP Michael.

The Antichrist saying look over there at that young woman. She is your enemy.
