I do not understand why the family did not check on them at all. Honestly, he had advance stage Alzheimer's and nobody had any assisted living or anyone checking on him at all for a whole week? This whole situation is tragic.

The best part of that series was how the characters grew from the start to the finish. I love it when characters grow and learn and reach an epiphany of some kind. This show was deep.
