All this to say that the holidays can be tough for folks. You never know what someone may be going through.

It was a reminder to be gentle with myself and know that as much as I want to be there for my friend I have to be there for me as well.
It’s gotten easier over time. 4 years without my dad and almost 24 without my mom but it still sneaks up on me and I’m missing them.

It wasn’t until last night when the two of us were watching wicked, listening to that beautiful version of “for good” that I realized I hadn’t been looking after myself, my own grief.

I enjoyed it! “For Good” is one of my fave songs so I loved hearing that. It maybe seemed a little long. 😬 It’s hard to beat seeing it live but I liked it and of course cried ! 😂
