There something to be said for having all the resources in Minnesota. Protesters are very organized, Somalians are mostly citizens, not large numbers of undocumented and it's miserably cold. Keeps them away from other states.

As a native of Minnesota, this forecast makes me happy. May ICE operate in miserable cold.

They will never get a grand jury to indict. People have had enough.

The detainees I spoke with said that women were allowed to have one wrist unshackled when using the restroom. Men were never unshackled, regardless of their bathroom needs. One man told me, “You hold it as long as you can.” No wiping allowed. It's disgusting cruelty.

Released detainees at our shelter say they were flown on ICE Air while shackled at the hands, waist, and ankles. They listened to the flight attendants safety briefing in disbelief-how could they evacuate, open exits, or put on oxygen masks while restrained? One said, ‘Anything happens, we’re dead.’

I spoke to a released detainee today at our shelter. He said he flew from New York to Texas on an airplane so dilapidated that they thought they were going to die. Seats were torn, panels loose. They took comfort in thinking that the pilots didn't want to die.

We have one and a half branches of government.

What happened to America First?

At our shelter for released detainees we have received people from Equatorial Guinea who have been granted asylum in the U.S. because of conditions.
