read no.12 of 2025: Blood and Guts in Highschool by Kathy Acker
📚✨
Ahead of her time by a long shot, this short but dense novel serves as reflection of our current social mindset: scattered, over-sexed and under-connected, looking for love in others, waiting to be saved.

Read no.11 of 2025: Lie With Me by Philippe Besson
📚✨
Haters will say it’s tragedy! And it did make me feel actual heartbreak through the page. But I loved it, it felt tender and earnest without overdoing it. This is usually a genre of queer lit that I shy away from #booksky

Read no.10 of 2025: After Dolores by Sarah Schulman
📚
All I had to do was turn this over and see that Kathy Acker loved it and I was ready to jump in. Messy mind of a lesbian on a post-breakup trip through NY. I feel honored and repulsed in the same breath #booksky

Love Me Tender by Constance Debré [translated by Holly James]

Library read #4 of 2025

listen I LOVE a lesbian with a highly contentious public response. I’ve heard people roast her or call her their personal god and everything in between but it took me until age 30 to pick her up. Susan Sontag, the woman that you are

Library read #3 of 2025 📖

it feels somehow appropriate to read Dorn’s work inverse of how she published it. after reading her three novels in January, this memoir gives context to the voice behind that work. it feels like she’s your best friend and also a reality tv star

Second library read of the year 📖

gotta be honest I struggled / tussled with this book. it felt like every other essay i was really on board and drawn into the writing style / personality of Johanna

Halfway through this as of today and it’s giving me: lucid dream vibes, stream of consciousness, call me by your name if it was focused through the lens of poverty/working class/colonized identity perspective, coming of age on ludes
