Even though these leaves and twigs were found on the ground, when I drew them, I saw that the dance of life was absolutely still in them! It wasn’t until the actual act of drawing that I saw this. These humble objects have connected me with my own vitality and to the beautiful mystery of life.

The paintings I have enjoyed the most have been when I’ve just gathered what comes to hand in the garden. The flowers always seem happy to be there and appear to strike up a conversation with each other; this conversion I think is full of joy and laughter. “Echinacea & Clematis
