I hike with 3 tiny humans.
She has never seen a quill before, but started writing on this rock with water and a feather. Little minds grow in nature! #getoutdoors #nature #seatownbeach

The children were pretty flat out near the top of the hill, but they were good sports. They had played on the beach all morning before the hike already. #hiking #UK #nature #seaside

This hike near Seatown was unreal. It was a straight climb, but short and so worth it. Cliffs and the sea on one side and pastureland and a little town on the other. #nature #hiking #jurassiccoast

This beach was super fascinating. We found loads of belemnite and ammonite fossils. #jurassiccoast #hike #exploremore Our little gaggle enjoyed 2 snack breaks, blissfully ignorant of the loose clay bank and rising tide. Soaked socks: 4.

Will hike for views. We’re exploring the Jurassic Coast. Lots of great family distanced hikes in Dorset. Here’s Lulworth Cove. #nature #hiking Some of these stones are 180 million years old. Incredible! 🦕 🦖

Baby enjoyed Hive Beach in Dorset on England’s south coast. I made them a little chair nook. 😆 #jurassiccoast #nature #getoutdoors

Beach combing and fossil hunting. Finding things of interests for the children keeps them going! And we found some! #nature #getoutdoors

I love it when they initiate exploring on their own. Yes, go off the path and take a detour. You might find something expectedly delightful. #getdirty #nature #hiking #yyj

Choosing the harder routes/roots are often more rewarding. Do the hard thing first. #hiking #nature #life

Westcoast kids’ toboggan 🤪 Snow days are once a year and millennials don’t have space in their small homes to store a big plastic toboggan. Crafty frugal mama strikes again. Old election signs also work decent. #yyj #snowday #westcoast

Toddlers like to exert 100% of their energy until they collapse into a nap. I wonder how far we can reach if we put 100% into our dreams! #heavywork #snowday #nature

Mt Roraima in Venezuela is the most epic hike in my books so far. The tepuis, table top mountains, were 2km high. It took 8 days just to get to the base and 2 days to ascend. Loved every moment except the 200+ bug bites I got. #nature #hike #gooutside

We’re definitely not wasting this beautiful, warm January as concerning as it may be about climate change. These littles enjoyed Stewart Mountain with minimal need for carrying them. Woo! #hiking #yyj #pnw #nature

Even when we’re travelling 10,000km away from home, we still fit in a hike in the big city of Hong Kong. A #nature escape is so needed amidst the busy concrete jungle. #hiking #hk

Our little fellowship of hikers! 7 Littles and 4 Bigs made for a fantastical hike up Horth Hill. We even chased an imaginary green monster! #victoriabc #nature #hiking #yyj

Breastfeeding in the wild! A post-hike feed for the baby. #pnw #victoriabc #nature We’re all about the trail snacks!

Problem solving outdoors does wonders for little developing brains. How might we get to where we want to go? Let’s try! #hiking #pnw #victoriabc

There’s no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing choices. Grateful to live in a place where we can hike comfortably year round. Just gotta suit up! #nature #pnw #hiking

It’s been a warm January so far, but there’s finally frost on the ground in the city today. I wish I was back at Paradise Ponds on Mt Washington. #pnw #yyj #nature

Hiked a few meandering trails around Francis King last week since I’m still in recovery mode. Puddle jumping was a highlight! #yyj #victoriabc #pnw

Spectacle Lake was so still and clear. We experimented tapping the water and seeing the ripples crackle the thin ice above.
