I have a bunch of friends from MA who had experiences going up to Montreal to drink as well. It's pretty common for Americans in the area iirc

I turned 19 in high school lol - I bought my friends' alcohol for prom even. This was also in Ottawa too so Quebec was always right across the river with a drinking age of 18 so yeah - no one bothered with a fake ID, but "going to Hull" was super common
