I travel regularly. Before I figured out how to turn email summaries off, I kept track of the AI summaries of my flight itinerary emails. Every single summary had at least one thing wrong, such as telling me that I was departing from my destination, etc. Useless.

I'm a writer, and another writer warned that Docusign was putting AI summaries at the front of book contracts, and was very clear that this was a very bad idea. Those terms are VERY specific and yeah, hallucinations about royalty terms, bad idea. Even accurate, it's legal advice without a license?

There's the ones I catch, and that makes my Eastern European heritage VERY suspicious of the ones I don't.

Oh I too had one of those a long time ago, I got that part -- but even time catches up to the well-experienced. Just had a 30th reunion and one night two of us drank a whole bottle of wine and we were amazed at ourselves! By ourselves! Like big kids!

I love this phrase "ghost efficiency." That is it - I heard the story of the guy who uses it to text people, and that was the epitome of ghost efficiency.

I'm approximately 55 thousand years old, and went to donate last week (B neg, so the blood bank calls A LOT) but had low red blood cell count and those vampires gave me free iron pills b/c they are real thirsty.
Never thought of it as a way to lower PFAS though. Makes sense.

Yes, anyone who saw my ASD child cry over death of a pet would never say ASD means there is a lack of empathy. But then again, my kid isn't a sociopath, wasn't raised by sociopaths, isn't a billionaire, and has had a lot of therapy to understand stuff. They make me be a better person all the time.

Eh, hard disagree. Lack of facial expressions or verbal expressions in the moment that convey empathy in the ways neurotypical people expect? Sure. Lack of actual feelings/empathy? No. Most people with autism have lots of emotions and feelings, including empathy. Autism doesn't make sociopaths.

I went to write a free giveaway scene for my back matter teaser and it got so long I ended up paying for editing and proofing and posting it as a different novella, so THEN I had to write TWO more free teasers! 🤣

Last time, my writing and creativity derailed badly, full stop, but this time I'm holding on tightly to it b/c I know that reading got me through last time, and I want to be that for someone else. Also, I deserve to write and paint - and I won't let them take that, too.
