May I recommend Platinum Donkeys - it's a recent release that has that old-school gonzo energy. A fun change of pace from the modern books where everyone has been to therapy and then there's too little conflict

I self-published a little ebook and it was very positive - I set up the file on Reedsy for free and published it through Amazon's KDP. The most important thing is to tailor your expectations carefully - your book will not sell on its own. But the publishing part doesn't need to be hard or expensive.

I have a special place in my heart for The Secret of Moonacre. It's a silly movie that doesn't totally make sense (unlike the book it's based on), but Tim Curry is in it and the costuming is all over the place, in a good way

I mainly describe images for braille books, where brevity is very important. In this app, I think if you set it up in a way that people can bail out early if they want, it's cool to give lots of detail (even if it's more than the sighted person would register).

I took a workshop about descriptions, and one tip was to start with an overall description and then add details - then a person gets the idea quickly and can continue with the description or move on. Another tip is to give visual information but let the reader interpret for themselves.

Did they tell you this is the last year for s'mores? You may want to stock up...

I think this is a good step for any problematic blank page. A placeholder summary of a scene is better than a blank page you can't move past

Team late night groceries over here. Grocery stores open after 9pm get so quiet!

At one point Netflix said they would provide audio description for all of their original programming. I assume they're still doing this.

Anne is great! I love how Charlotte was like "being a governess might be totally worth it" and Anne was like "no, it definitely sucks"
