Tonight's viewing is this masterpiece. Shimura was such an exquisite, quiet counterpoint to Mifune's firebrand antics. He carried so much in a look, a gesture. As compelling as Mifune, in a totally different way.

Poodle on lap is a rare occurrence for me, but after the vet last night, where they finally identified the source of his pain - an elbow issue - he needs all the reassurance, which means lots of cuddles and me occasionally sobbing over him. 😭😭😭

And now the minis are finally finished. I bought all the players a version of their character and badly painted it. As I like to say, they are made with love, not skill.
I have taken so much unexpected joy from painting them, and that's all i can say. I hope they like them.

Our wonderful poodle is hurt/injured and I don't know how to help. Is it arthritis (he's 6.5) or has he damaged himself?
He's so terrified of the vets that we only take him when it's vax time or there is no other choice.
Is this right leg placement a wrenched shoulder or wrist? Torn tendon? Help!
