I would choose the British sparkling wine. It has beaten champagne for several years as being a much better wine. I’m lucky that one very good vineyard is just up the road. The wine is soft and bubbles last for ever just gently doing there thing. My son in-law buys it for treats

One thing he has succeeded in doing is loosing our trust in the USA within NATO. That is going to take a long time to change. For the time being I will continue to avoid American companies where I can and it is not cost prohibitive or shooting myself in the foot

Well I think that makes it clear that NATO needs to make plans that no longer include the USA. Unfortunately it will cause us all huge issues. However, once the dust settles it will be the USA that is the weaker unfortunately as the debts it has are held by so many NATO countries plus others

never been interested in. Then he reduced my capacity to block. I left and came to this lovely moderated space where I get to have control of my feed. It’s losing the control over the years that upsets me the most. Facebook used to show friends first now it’s difficult to find stuff

As someone who was using the internet back in the 1990s, my email address dates from back then, I fully agree with this thought provoking article. The internet was smaller, slower and so not so felt more calm. I left X shortly after Musk bought it and I started getting too much stuff that I have

What is frightening is people see and hear them talking about Musk and X AI and instead of being repulsed still think he would make a good PM. The brain washing has been so powerful!

I do have concerns about the moral values of all the people who cannot see that it is completely unacceptable to have a tool that can so easily produce indecent images. That they try to use the defence of “free speech” as cover for their repugnant views is just a feeble attempt at misdirection

I left ages ago shortly after it became clear that under Musk moderation was a thing of the past. I found this much nicer place to be. I actually never commented on Twitter as I didn’t feel safe. I do feel safe here

At this point in time the USA is looking more like a potential enemy of the majority of NATO countries than an ally. Maybe we should look to France for our nuclear deterrent and start to move away from being so reliant on USA defence companies for our weapons and also for our tech.

The whole of Europe and every member of NATO needs to fully support Denmark and Greenland in the face of such necked aggression from the current government of the USA
