I think we had a workbook of such assignments: take a written passage or poem; count the words. Rewrite the passage to retain its meaning, using only 25% of the original word count +/- 10, excluding articles.

Got my hardcover for Christmas! I’m only a few pages in, but it is absolutely wonderful.
Though I realize that I must now reassess my own education, as, sadly, I have only passing familiarity with Petrarch.
