Nobody *takes* a decision. It’s almost like human writers can’t be replaced with ChatGPT.

In a political science class in college, we had a guest speaker once named Dick Harpootlian. We were the Gamecocks. Neither struck me as hilarious until I moved away and heard those words from national media people.

Coach Assey was the baseball coach at my high school. (Got fired for having an affair w/ the cheerleading coach in the athletics office. But that’s beside the point.)

That’s a perfect phrasing. And, no, there won’t be a trial.

This was obviously intentional killing. But the reason journalists don’t use the word “murder” is because, by definition, for there to be murder, there must be a conviction. It’s not that writers are not using “murder” to avoid a categorization, but because until there’s a trial, there’s no murder.

It’s sunken in. But who is going to *DO* something about it?

These are bad, but they’re not even close to the things that are most important right now. Congress has got to stop this madness.

We have employed you to be our representation to stop this. What are you doing?!

DO SOMETHING! An impotent branch of government is permitting this madness.

A tough blow for a once-mighty paper and industry. I’m glad I got to be there during some of your era and hope what’s next is even better.
