The original post really sounds like they are coming from the perspective that a successful system is one of hegemony rather than one where people get to disagree with each other and try different avenues.

Weird how people no smarter than us getting to decide for us does not improve outcomes but increases inequality.

The rules they get to change whenever it is inconvenient for them? :D

It would be nice if speed limits were replaced by "recommended speed" signs. However, people going way over the current limit make me feel unsafe on the road. How could we go about responsibilizing people to drive safely, where government attempts previously failed?
