the font used for the ascii tileset here is uncorrected sperryPC CGA. i specifically found a font that *was* 1:1.

beneath a rotten sun /

coward-eater, unloved, nith-king /

gorges on the abject dead
coward-eater, a transfeminine dragon-woman with a thick, soft build, kneels in a mire of blood. she gazes balefully, licking gore from her arm with her forked tongue, a bloodied and blackened war-spear in one hand.

mockup produced in sleep deprived haze
a mockup game interface. on the left, an ASCII tileset representation of a basement filled with junk and loose cables. on the right, a tense dialogue between the player character and a broken-down gynoid of the same model.

man how is this my first ever piece of warhound fanart
a muzzled, dog-collared woman with dead eyes, wearing a cheerleader outfit and holding a pair of pom-poms. there doesn't seem to be anything going on in her brain, to a concerning extent.

ishidaki punishment
#東方Project
a monochrome drawing of ran yakumo, a foxgirl with nine fluffy tails. she is wearing a simple kimono and is bound in a kneeling position, her shins resting on a wooden ishidaki board. her eyes are dull with pain, and her face is dripping sweat. it seems as if she's been left here for quite some time.

the gorgon's head-snakes are based on the lake taal snake, which presented certain difficulties. namely that lake taal snakes are adorable little babies with tiny muppet faces and it's very hard to make them look imposing.

is it disposable? reusable? cheap? expensive? personalised? off-the-rack? does she carry one at all, or is she more a matchbook kind of girl, and etc, etc, etc

& you can generalise this sort of thinking to almost everything about a character's appearance, it's wonderful, it makes me so happy

i think what i find really, truly enriching about the process of in-depth character design is, like.... okay, it's in the script that this character smokes. what kind of lighter does she carry? what does it say about who she is, where she's been?

it does feel sort of appropriate that my first time using csp's 3d asset functionality is to speed up the process of drawing an ishidaki board

A commission we got from the delightful @annelidist.bsky.social - a rather small variety of sphinx. (The filename is "house_spinks.png", for the record).
a household magpie-sphinx (on the extremely catlike side), lying sprawled on its back with its wings spread out and tummy showing. it's moderately fluffy- not quite the sort of cat you can lose a hand in, but close. it wears a little collar with a bell. its little fangs are showing, and its front paws are pulled up against it. it's being scritched behind the ears, and is purring happily (with a string of rrrs across the image to show it).
