I know a few people I know have started doing this so I am jumping on a bandwagon... I am going to do a #Eurovision Advent calendar adding another song onto the thread every day... Hopefully it will open your eyes and ears to some lesser known classics or remind you of stuff you forgot about!

George's precision was very good, in particular his co-ordination and timing with the lifts was almost to perfection - if not there would've been carnage. I wish he'd got rid of the blazer as that disguised his arm movements. HIs action was small but otherwise he would have been exhausted #strictly

The precision of the first part was very impressive. Karen spins (on her feet and fully on the floor) very well and is so good coming in and out of such manoeuvres. The sartorial choice almost have the dance a carnival Smooth Criminal vibe. They are just such a power couple #Strictly

This stylised, jazzy, old-school, musical genre is exactly what Amber does for a living so I would expect her to be very good at it! It was very full on and had just the right amount of together and side-by-side parts. If she is here next week, how can she top that in the showdance? #Strictly

That colouring is stunning on Balvinder. I agree that she has moved from acting a dancer to dancing with acting which gives her a very natural, almost free feeling like it hasn't been rehearsed. Still pigeon toed at times (I blame the shoes) and the floor work was a little clumsy #strictly

The boy has hips (and a chest) Interesting street dance flamenco section as well as plenty of standard content. Personally, I find George's bottom half more interesting to look at than the top. I find he tends to bend his back and knees to get down to Alexis' level when he doesn't need to #strictly

Carlos scrubs up well. You could tell Karen was tentative - I feel she enjoys the freedom and gay abandon of the fast/powerful numbers - however you could feel the meaning between the dancers. She came across as softer and, although not technically perfect, looked elegant. #strictly

Love Amber's dress. I liked the way so much of the dance was properly in hold. Although the content seemed high quality, with the timing and mirroring clean and staccato, it seemed a little flat for me - maybe it was nerves or that the choreo purposefully more technical than characterful #strictly

Look the choreo was a little basic and her legs in the lifts lacked resistance but the purpose, character and attitude was fierce from Bal. Plenty of energy throughout and the partnership showed rhythm and sharpness. I feel like no fucks are given anymore and we are HERE for it #Strictly

BTW just sniggered at the realisation that Spain, Ireland or Netherlands winning this might be rather funny #JESC2025 #JuniorEurovision

ALBANIA - this was the 10yo's fave song in the reviews (plus he does love his fruit and veg) Some interesting overlays on screen. This wasn't the staging I was envisaging but it is kinda memorable. Let's say I prefer the dancers outfits than Kroni's. #JESC2025 #JuniorEurovision

FRANCE - the second of the "Voila" tributes. Another use of the sepia into full colour. The camera work really sells this song to the viewers at home, and maybe less of a show in the hall. Just needed a shot of the Eiffel Tower to cement the Frenchness #JESC2025 #JuniorEurovision

CYPRUS - I was concerned about this song in the reviews as it came across as a bit basic. But this is quite a glow up. The duo move extremely well on stage and they also sing very well plus the backing track sounds massively better. Love the starry sky! #JESC2025 #JuniorEurovision

GEORGIA - she looks like a 1970s Pocahontas. The stage looks cohesive with the white outfits, smoke and the celestial background and even some co-ordinated fireworks The vocal is strong although is a little bit shouty and relentless for my taste. #JESC2025 #JuniorEurovision

SPAIN - I loved the video and am so very very pleased to see the book motif brought to the stage here - and the piano! Loved the way the book circle has the title of the song at the bottom! Good use of the video floor. He sounded fab - loved this!! #JESC2025 #JuniorEurovision

PORTUGAL - I liked how this differed from the video and gave the song a totally different meaning. Could easily be in FdC. The curtain and lights made the stage more like a cocoon. Her voice is so strong she held everyone captive. I have something in my eye (again) #JESC2025 #JuniorEurovision

ITALY - severe change of pace as there has been nothing quite like this yet! He actually cops really well with the speed of the song and the sharp turns between styles. The big box is an intriguing prop but nothing much happens to it. #JESC2025 #JuniorEurovision

MONTENEGRO - I like the way this had taken the feeling of the video and elaborated on them so the meaning is really clear. Really does sound like a Balkan Ballad from the adult show. Live version is powerful. Possibly the best use of a background up to now. #JESC2025 #JuniorEurovision
