Played at a snail’s pace all year to “save the players” but said they would turn up the pace when they needed too. Well, down two scores in the second half they only got TDs on two of them. Saw that coming form a mile away. Their 1st drive of the 2H took like 8 minutes. Gotta be able to adjust.

The Dick Powell adaptation of that book is called “Murder, My Sweet’ in case people want to seek it out. They should, it’s great. And I agree about Powell. Bogart in the role is good but is just too Bogart.

Isn’t a reasonable solution to the calendar mess to just let transfer athletes attend spring practices at a new school without being enrolled during the spring semester? That way you could move the portal until after the playoffs and guys would have until spring practice starts in march or whatever.
