Woke up this #StAndrewsDay in a Lochaber bothy after quite a bit of merriment, many mice and minus temperatures. Frosty but sunny which made the walk out more pleasant

Cold weather pond clearing in Tayside, once we broke the ice. These modern houses are totally soul-less, packed in and awful for biodiversity so it felt worth the cold sting trying to look after the bit of nature left.

Big sky over Buckie, Moray. When you live in 2 small rooms most of the time, its great for the eyes to look to the horizon 😎

Several Peacock butterflies on scabious, a couple of Red Admirals and Green-veined Whites seen on my #bigbutterflycount this lunchtime. Also, something vaguely brown flitted past, as is the way of all nature surveys
