In one of the articles I read this week, it discussed how AI is starting to develop, and there is a possible fear that AI could take over journalist jobs. I believe that people can tell the difference between AI and a journalist, and will always choose the human. What about you? #UWJ201 #319

For week 12's content, I found the concept of de-platforming extremely interesting. When people are spreading mis-information, it can cause danger to sites that allow it. Do you guys think sites should be responsible for the content on them? #UWJ201 #319

For week 11's readings, one concept I found extremely interesting was how people react to central route vs. peripheral route persuasion. Personally, I think applying both routes will give you the best results. Which route do you guys see more often in the news? #UWJ201 #319

We learned in this weeks reading about how people who believe in conspiracy theories are often people who are seeking closure and certainty. Conspiracies are ways for people to make sense of situations that don't always make sense. Do you think that this is a valid copping mechanism? #UWJ201 #319

In class today we watched the Pepsi commercial with Kendall Jenner that received a lot of backlash. There was lots of criticism on the logistics of the commercial, along with the delivery. What do you guys think the commercial should have done differently to be received better? #UWJ201 #319

This week I read an article that discusses Facebook Ads Offer Formula. The formula includes 1. Desired Action 2. Relevance 3. Reason to Act Now and 4. Transformation. To me the step that gets me most likely to purchase an item is the reason to act now. How about you? #UWJ201 #319

In the article "Attention as a Valuable Resource", they discuss how attention is easily turned into revenue. If you can gather consumers attention, you will be able to profit off of it. This makes me really consider what apps, websites, and companies I am giving my attention to. #UWJ201 #319

Horse race journalism is something that we as consumers see every single day. It is important to be aware of as this is the news that we are consuming. I think we can learn from this that it is important to keep up to date with many different news sources to stay the most well informed. #UWJ201 #319

I read the article written by Todd Spangler talking about how since the debut of "The Queen's Gambit", there has been a crazy rise of people buying chess books, and sets! I think this data proves how much media has the influence to impact sales. #UWJ201 #319
