In 2011 I inherited my mom’s piss old android phone with a slide out keyboard. Every day I’d search “earthbound” on the android marketplace and one day it was there. An app dedicated to running an SNES rom of earthbound and nothing else. 8th graders don’t get to have that experience anymore

I really thought a steam deck would be a cool gateway into PC gaming but I ended up not really using it much? I don’t think I’ll part ways with it bc it’s nice to have for the occasional PC-related sillies but it definitely didn’t convert me in any meaningful way

I love it when backloggd does retrospective game of the year awards for years I was a child. Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2008 may not have been the best multiplayer game that year but it was certainly the best multiplayer game that year I could comprehend as a 10 year old

as sad as it feels I think switch 2 might be the console where I make the move to digital games other than a few special cases. they’re pushing it so much, and I can’t imagine doubling the size of my switch library. I do Not have infinite space for games…
