Daughter told me that I’m an “ingredients cook”. I asked her if she meant like a sous chef? No, she said. It’s when a person only cooks using ingredients. After reflection, she is not wrong.

The new Insurance Commissioner fired 8 people on Wednesday with no notice. Escorted them from the building without letting them collect their things, in full view of coworkers. They weren't under investigation. They were just exempt.
