Circulate this widely. The so-called debate about the ECHR is nothing more nor less than an existential crisis for the UK. Brexit crippled us. Leaving the ECHR would completely destroy any moral authority we claimed to inhabit.

No, we won't. You think you've seen big protests already? Any threat to stupidly withdraw from the ECHR would be met with an public backlash the likes of which has never been seen before. These are fundamental human rights we're talking about.

As Donald Trump can buy pretty much anything that he wants, and now that he is president can do pretty much what he wants, it is imperative that he does not get the thing he wants the most, that he cannot buy, and that is the Nobel peace prize. Which would be insane.

That's why I said elders... not older people. It has meaning. Like Village Elders. People with experience, who've walked the road many times. Seasoned campaigners who can contextualise history and how it relates to us today. That. :)

In my extensive experience, many of those who put things like "Inspirational speaker" in their CVs or social media bios, rarely are. It's extremely easy to write a speech using the words of wiser people who came before... maybe tweaked by ChatGPT. Choose people with experience. Choose elders.
