They’re restructuring these loans, but thanks to Nabiullina trying to reduce bad debts, the threat of 40% interest for delinquent companies is now ever present.

This sector alone has 600 billion rubles at risk.

🤣
December 12, 2025 at 4:21 AM
And who exactly is going to loan them the money?

Because if they decide to issue 180 trillion in bonds at 14% fixed interest your chart may explode.

Never mind what that would do to inflation.

russia’s entire M2 money supply has tripled in the last 9 years, and is still only 123 trillion.
December 12, 2025 at 3:16 AM
I eagerly await the return of paying them in vodka and tires.

…says the company that has successfully begged the government for foreign cars to have their prices artificially increased via “recycling fees” in order to protect their own failing business.
December 11, 2025 at 8:12 AM
In other words, paying huge amounts of money made in bond payments back to the bond issuer, as the primary shareholder is the russian government.
December 11, 2025 at 8:06 AM
Yes, and would unfortunately lead to fewer incidents like these.
December 10, 2025 at 7:47 PM
That’s what I mean. Dump trucks should have a max loaded height, if they put bricks or very large rocks til it overflowed and you hit a bump, a gravity induced fatality could easily ensue.
December 10, 2025 at 7:36 PM
Well, given the description it was probably more like the dump truck wasn't secured properly or was overloaded. I'd say negligence is suspected more than malice.

But your version is much more entertaining, and in this day and age, isn't that what counts?
December 10, 2025 at 7:17 PM
Because nothing helps stamp out the black market like forcing everyone to use cash if they can get it, or barter if they can’t.

I had expected them to revert back to paying people in vodka and tires hopefully around 2027, but if they want to hurry the process along who am I to argue?
December 10, 2025 at 7:10 PM
That’s fine. russian railways can easily pick up the slack.🤣
December 9, 2025 at 8:49 PM
Beautiful to see. Thank you, sir!
December 9, 2025 at 4:24 PM
Meanwhile, truck sales are simply collapsing.

Although it would be better to get a year by year chart to see how this compares to say, 2021.
December 9, 2025 at 2:48 PM
The evil spirits jn this case are bootlegged vodka.
December 7, 2025 at 2:02 PM
It’ll be interesting to see who buys their shares.
December 5, 2025 at 7:06 PM
Ok, then you have a much better clue than most.

However, my point still stands. Medical debt is a major driver behind bankruptcy in the US. It isn’t in russia. It’s still around 0%.
December 5, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Note: even with insurance a single emergency room visit can easily cost you several thousand dollars if any serious work needs to be done.
December 5, 2025 at 1:40 PM
I don’t think you understand the scale of the problem here.

I’m not saying this is typical, but it is easily possible.
December 5, 2025 at 1:31 PM
And I say not really apples to apples because in the US medical costs contribute to or are the predominate reason for 2/3rds of individual bankruptcy filings.

In russia, along with most of the world, that number is approximately 0.
December 5, 2025 at 4:00 AM
By way of comparison (not really apples to apples, I know), but the 138,800 individual court ordered bankruptcies in 2Q25 appears to be higher than the number of individual filed bankruptcies for the same period in the US.

The US population is roughly two and a half times larger, however.
December 5, 2025 at 3:47 AM
Which shows an 80% increase in the number of people found “seriously” bankrupt by a court in 2Q25 vs 1Q23. That would be exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

Can’t wait for 2H numbers.

Currently blocked from accessing it…I’ll have to tackle it later.
December 5, 2025 at 12:22 AM
Not the least of which is that while the state can’t pay the police, the mob can.
