D&D is like McDonald's. It's everywhere. It's not necessarily good for you but you can't avoid it no matter where you look. There is a universe of different games out there people should try more than just Tolkien-esque High fantasy.

Sadly I was unable to. My job well need I say more my job was not exactly willing to give me that day off. Being a Saturday and working retail. But next year I swear I am going to host my own event for extra life I've always had fun taking part in the extra life events in the past

Thanks for sharing. I was running an All Flesh must be eating game which is a zombie apocalypse RPG but sadly two of my four players had to bow out due to family emergencies. So it's been about 6 months for me since I facilitated a game and a number of years since I've been an active player

Sorry that it's empty for you on both sides. That's got to be rough. No one wants to run cyberpunk for me which is my specialty. And I can understand the intimidation Factor running for a person who has so successfully done so for many years one would feel uncertain of Their Own abilities.

That would be me. I haven't played in a consistent game in years. I have run consistent games as the GM but as a player I haven't had any consistent games in years

I'm with you 100%. I don't like medieval high Fantasy games. I will play horror sci-fi comedy what have you but Tolkien-esque High fantasy just doesn't do it for me
