There was literally no reason to do this other than to intentionally draw negative attention; none. Literally no one asked; what business does a sports organization even have awarding a "peace prize" at all?

I was about to make an Ultra-Humanite joke, but I just looked it up and not only did he not start his life as a monkey, but he didn't even become one until the 1980s. I've always known he was the first real Superman villain but had no idea he was initially portrayed as a human.

It would be funny if instead of that, they reached civilization WITHIN the universe of the game and the game itself was forced to hastily create scenarios that were never intended to be part of it. IIRC something similar happens in Ender's Game after he kills the giant.
