I am older, but not THAT old... I hope. Been playing since the 2600 and I'm now on Switch 2 and PS5... and other stuff. Don't call me retro (I am not backwards (compatible? often...)), and call me classic instead.
Ecstatic by this find. Was cleaning closet looking for my lost Gameboy carts when I found this instead! Fully functional, game cart battery still works, just missing device back battery cover. No need for a ModRetro Chromatic now. 🙂

Collections? Of course I love them, like the Cowabunga one, Castlevania (are they up to 3 of those), Contra, Konami arcade, SaGa FF Legends, Mana, Sonic Origins, XCOM and more. Worthy classics.
Newer games? I wait for the price to lower, only for them to turn into classics/bundles/collections. 🙂

As I mentioned previously, I got a duplicate copy of Super Breakout from Video Game Monthly. I was bummed, since I had indicated to them that I had this game. I contacted them, after explaining, they said that the error was theirs. Getting a replacement and I can keep Super Breakout. Good service. 👍

As I mentioned previously, I got a duplicate copy of Super Breakout from Video Game Monthly. I was bummed, since I had indicated to them that I had this game. ~Pipe Dream-OK, takes a bit to figure out and no clue how to win, only survive, might get fun

Finally! My copy of Evercade Activision (#47) came in! Huzzah! The collection is phenomenal, like River Raid, Pitfall, and Demon Attack. When I saw Demon Attack, I was confused, but it seems Activision bought out iMagic.

Finally! My copy of Evercade Activision (#47) came in! Huzzah! The collection is phenomenal, like River Raid, Pitfall, and Demon Attack. When I saw Demon Attack, I was confused, but it seems Activision bought out iMagic.

Got my Video Game Monthly games today. Excitement! I opened it:

I didn't play the first three Metroid Prime games as I did not own a Gamecube or Wii when those came out. So am I hyped for Metroid Prime 4?

Finally got to Asteroids Recharged, best for last it seems. I truly enjoyed playing that game. I accidently started with a challenge, then I finally got to the game proper, and I loved the experience right off the bat.

I retired early at 51 from teaching for my health. I've been kicking myself, feeling sorry, inadequate and angry, and I'm having a harder time making ends meet.
Today, doc said that I am doing good and my actions are paying off. My A1C was at 12, I'm at 7 now. Lost 50 lbs. Burnout I had is gone.

Oh, and since I mentioned it, Wall World is a fantastic game. It's been going on sale for Switch and Steam relatively often lately, maybe since a sequel just came out. I highly recommend it.

Have you ever had that "one more time" or "one more try" moment? It happened with Wall World a while ago, and earlier it was "one more chapter" as I was reading. Yesterday, "one more bite" of chips (you can't have just one) and waking this morning, after being sick all night, "5 more minutes." 🥱

Centipede=liked well enough-nearly killed my poor thumb- overall great fun-4 out of 5
Berzerk=meh-I actually prefer it on 2600-OK-I think the controls killed it for me-3 out of 5
Black Widow=loved it-never played before now-same frenetic energy of OG Millipede-5 out of 5

Played two indies this weekend to try them out: Wall World and Graveyard Keeper.
Wall World surprised me in that I into the "play it one more time" loop, which I did for a few hours. As for Graveyard Keeper, I like it so far. Still too soon to say if I fully approve, but the early going is OK.

In anticipation of Atari 50 new DLC coming (the Namco DLC) and because it is on sale at the moment, I acquired 5 of the 10 Atari Recharged games: Asteroids, Centipede, Yars, Black Widow, & Berzerk.

In anticipation of Atari 50 new DLC coming (the Namco DLC) and because it is on sale at the moment, I acquired 5 of the 10 Atari Recharged games: Asteroids, Centipede, Yars, Black Widow, & Berzerk.

I am now sad. I was happy about getting Indy 500 for Atari 2600 from VGM, but I just discovered that I need the driving paddle controller to play it. Standard paddles will not work.
