The power differential somehow factors into it, I think. To me there's a big moral difference between terrorizing your girlfriend by punching the wall, and depriving your oppressors of their car by setting it on fire.

Queer culture isn't a thing that exists to be "interesting " to outsiders. They were underground because they were being persecuted and didn't have access to nice safe suburban neighborhoods.

Characters include a nonbinary gen z mayor who has no time for boomer nonsense and the eccentric neighbor (played by Andi McDowell?) who's a poseur who keeps gettting upstaged by Paul's actual life experiences. Grumpy body guard/gardener who can't keep the local urchins from stealing produce.
